Description: The magical shapes and musings of a master sculptor were at work when Coyote Buttes Wilderness area was created. I had climbeb above the wave and found this small pool of water in a basin of slickrock. I liked the patterns and the way reflection became hard to separate from reality but the light was too harsh. So I sat down and waited for a small wisp of cloud to soften the light as it passed in front of the sun and this ws the result. For me it remined of a Bev Doolittle painting for those who are fans of western art you will know her. I hope you enjoy!
